I am an average American citizen. This letter is to those citizens of the world who live in a place where Western Civilization has not completely taken over your original culture. The most important thing I can say to you is to cherish every moment you have left. I read something recently in regards to citizens of other nations striving to achieve what western societies have already accomplished and it boggled my mind.
No one should strive to become part of a society that starts pre-emptive wars of aggression. A society that takes nearly a third of all income from each of it's citizens just to pay for those wars. A society who spies on itself for its own "safety", trusts their own neighbors as far as they can throw them, and openly admits to caring more about sports than politics.
These people in third world nations actually want to be like us?! They want to destroy the planet with gas guzzling automobiles and AC units in every window cill? They want to care more about televised competitions than the health of their family? They want to feed their children genetically modified "food"? These citizens of third world nations actually seek to live in a society where the individual is demonized while mass hysteria and rioting is promoted by our so called leader?
I should say ruler actually, because a leader leads by example and moves his followers to a better place. A ruler tells you what to do while holding a gun to your head. Our glorious rulers actively prompt certain demographics to riot in the street while rounding up other demographics for peacefully redressing their grievances. Our secret police day in and day out preform SWAT and Joint Terrorism Task Force raids with military equipment to terrorize average law abiding citizens as well as those committing non violent, victimless crimes.
Anyone who tells you America is free and prosperous or tries to claim that other nations are more brutal and treat their citizens with less respect is lying to you. America is very unsafe, the police forces here are extremely likely to shoot and kill you at any point, and cities all over the nation are controlled by gangs. Any citizen of a nation who has not yet been indoctrinated in to western civilization should fight tooth and nail to stay that way. They should not be actively trying to accomplish the same way of life as those of us who live in "western nations".
If you ask me, citizens of these nations have the greatest opportunity of all time. They have the opportunity to create a new world order in a time when communication and technology are beyond our ancestors wildest dreams. To establish a new status quo as well as different ways of accomplishing old goals. Do not follow the same road we as a nation and civilization have fallen victim to. Try new ways of doing old things. Support solar and wind power over coal and gas. Support self governance over democracy. Support small scale farming over mass industrialization of food production. Support money backed by an actual commodity rather than by thin air. Support pretty much anything else other than what America and western civilization has actively proliferated over the entire planet.
Either that, or we as a species are in for some very terrible times.
